Jan loves Spain and so do many of her friends. When I arrived at the venue, I was impressed by the decorations. Her family had come in earlier to decorate with red and gold garlands and balloons and put up gorgeous retro Flamenco and bull fight posters. It looked beautiful.
Jan had booked Paella Fella, caterers based in Sussex who cover a wide area in the South of England and London. They prepared tapas and several big pan paellas that left no taste bud disappointed. (After my show I was invited to eat some of their food and it was delicious!) Jan had booked the wonderful Marcus Boll, a wedding and party singer bookable throughout the UK who also plays the trumpet!
And of course Jan had gone all out and booked my Flamenco show followed by mingling as well as the meet & greet. I welcomed the guests upon arrival and took pictures with everyone: we created interesting Flamenco poses with the fans I provide at meet & greets.
After the first course, I performed for the first time. The audience could sit back and relax and enjoy a full-blown Flamenco dance show.
At the end of dinner, I performed another dance to launch into the mingling. Now it was time for Jan and her guests to get dancing. Young and old got up to dance to my playlist of Spanish and Latin classics that makes sure you can’t stay put in your seat. It was fantastic!
We learnt steps together, did a conga line through the entire hall and danced up and down the dancefloor which left everyone exhilarated, happily out of breath and sweaty, and having the best time.
