During my time in Santiago de Chile I started thinking of a new work with the working title ‘grief’. After lots of research and gathering inspiration and a few rehearsals, I joined Ensemble Perpetuo in a residency and together we worked on ways to truly create a new concert experience by including dance in a chamber music concert.
The work wants to be a comment on the human need to grieve and share glimpses of how a grievance alters your identity. It wants to draw its audience in and invite it to reflect on their own experience and shall, under the best circumstances, have a cathartic effect on some people.
The work has so far been presented at the Blue Cloud Scratch Night on Friday, 21st July 2017, and as part of Room Festival at artsdepot in November 2017, and will be part of a unique concert experience by Ensemble Perpetuo in the future.
