Lucidez Dance Logo Version the one Bernie made me

Last week Inês Neto dos Santos filmed my Flamenco show on the beautiful stage of the Jazz Club at Brasserie Toulouse Lautrec in Kennington.

At the end of a long shoot, we found time to take a few pictures, too. The video files have been sent off to the editor Cecilia Berghall and I can't wait for the finished videos.

I'm in the studio again and trying something new and different - wedding entertainment with fan veils! Last year I started learning to dance with fan veils and I really enjoyed it, but I didn't know how to incorporate it into my practice. Now, I'm beginning to have really fun creative ideas and so I'm trying things out in the studio. I think my choreography will be a beautiful and really flexible idea for wedding entertainment.

The photo is a still shot from filming my rehearsal. While the quality isn't all that, I think it still shows the movement and colours nicely.

The creative process is a beautiful journey. Rehearsal is a great space for creativity, experimentation, practice, discipline and hard work. I am happy to now present two exciting Flamenco dances that celebrate life. I can't wait to revive my very first choreography and to premiere a completely new piece in a wedding performance for Unika Dance Events next week.

Soon I will get a promo video filmed and I can't wait to share this with the world.

I have learnt dancing with fan veils since last year and am really enjoying the freedom and breadth it gives a dance.

It's a beautiful feeling and looks great. Traditionally used in belly dance, I use it for contemporary and lyrical dances.

Fan veils come in many different colours, my favourite ones right now are these multi-colour ones.

This picture was taken on the banks of the river Thames in Greenwich with a view of Canary Wharf on the Isle of Dogs in London.

Last week Margarita Gómez and I used the dramatic light and lovely location of Café Berlín in Santiago to film material for a new work with the working title "Berlin". What does 'home' mean to you?

A few days later, again at Café Berlín, I performed "Berliner Lieder", improvisations to songs about Berlin, as part of "100 en 1 día" Festival Santiago.

Thank you to Margarita and Cristobal Koch of Café Berlín.

Had a most wonderful time dancing in the gala "Duende" de Embrujo Academia de Baile.

It is a great fortune to have good teachers and I am so lucky to have embarked on the Flamenco journey with two wonderful teachers, Liza Fernández and Claudia Acosta, who are not just lovely, wise and patient teachers, but also powerful, gorgeous, intensive dancers who inspire me to work hard and set free the duende inside!

Can't express how happy I am to have finally begun learning this most wonderful dance thanks to Embrujo Academia de Baile. Starting with a performance in honour of International Women's Day just made the whole experience even more exciting. After a week of rehearsals, it's now back to regular class and learning technique.

The work started at Art Culture Center Bækkelund Bornholm in August 2014 has finally found its form. Thank you to Lizzie J Klotz for a thoughtful and sensitive edit. It's turned out to be a dance film I imagine to play in a gallery exhibition themed around people and their relationship to the countryside and the seaside one day.

Read more and watch an excerpt of the film on the 'To the sea' page.
