Lucidez Dance Logo Version the one Bernie made me

One year ago I started thinking of a new work with the working title 'grief' and since then it's developed beautifully. You can still follow the development on Twitter, by searching the hashtag #wtgrief. After lots of research and gathering inspiration and a few rehearsals, I joined Ensemble Perpetuo in a one-day residency and together we worked on ways to truly create a new concert experience by including dance in a chamber music concert.

Since then I have developed choreography which has now been presented during the most recent Blue Cloud Scratch Night on Friday, 21st July.

It was a very valuable experience as you get to perform your work while still in development and then receive feedback from your audience, which you can use to inform the continued development of your work.

I'm very grateful for the opportunity to create this work and for the support of Ensemble Perpetuo, Cloud Dance Festival and Blue Elephant Theatre.

Maya Pindar was one of the five reviewers who attended the fourth Kaleidoscopic Arts Platform last month. It was our most successful platform yet and we couldn't be happier! You can see impressions from the platform on our Facebook page.

I was very happy to have the opportunity to show 'Living with Sin' again and to receive valuable audience feedback, footage and reviews. Five reviewers attended the showcase, among them Tia Asterope and Maya Pindar. You can read their reviews following the links below.

After performing with Unika Dance Events in early February, I’ve come to Sevilla for a month of intensive Flamenco.

I notice that the relative calmness and loneliness I feel here are good for my creativity and #wtgrief keeps developing slowly but surely.

In other news our bid to funding from the Wandsworth Arts Council for the fourth Kaleidoscopic Arts Platform has been successful,

so save the date: May 19th!

I'm inspired for a new work. Initially I will let it develop by visiting spaces and collecting thoughts and images on the theme. I will also be going for short walks with the task of thinking through specific elements and see where that takes me. You can follow my discoveries on Twitter where I will be using the hashtag #wtgrief to collect my thoughts.

The work started at Art Culture Center Bækkelund Bornholm in August 2014 has finally found its form. Thank you to Lizzie J Klotz for a thoughtful and sensitive edit. It's turned out to be a dance film I imagine to play in a gallery exhibition themed around people and their relationship to the countryside and the seaside one day.

Read more and watch an excerpt of the film on the 'To the sea' page.
