Lucidez means brightness and clarity in Spanish.
Lucia is a professional dancer based in London with a portfolio career dedicated to a wide range of
work across the dance and entertainment industries. She brings a light, fresh and passionate
approach to all her work.
As a dancer Lucia wants to embody and communicate human truth, be it fun and love for life or
sombre and thoughtful aspects. She loves to entertain and feel the audience reaction and enjoys the
ritualistic absorption movement can give. Her dancing is expressive, emotive, entertaining and full of
beauty. Lucia performs various dance styles such as Flamenco, Brazilian Samba and Charleston for
Unika Dance Events and has developed her own Flamenco show.
Lucia creates choreographic works in the independent contemporary dance world and seeks
collaborations with other art forms and industries. She is interested in how historic developments affect our personalities and our behaviour and in the formation, manifestation and communication of identity, in particular female identity and cultural and national identity.
Together with fellow dancer and choreographer Konstantina Skalionta, Lucia founded Kaleidoscopic Arts in 2014. The organisation supports emerging female choreographers with performance showcases, work in progress sharings and professional development activities. In this role Lucia is responsible for programming, curation, event management, budget management and finances, marketing, website design, PR, social media and administrative tasks.
Last but not least Lucia assists Unika Dance Events with event management, social media, copy writing and with day to day administrative tasks. Unika is a dance and music entertainment agency working with corporate and private clients who seek memorable and unique entertainment experiences. Lucia works closely alongside founder and director Maxine Anthony.
Lucia ultimately wishes to play a small but valuable part in brightening and clarifying the human experience one performance, relationship and assignment at a time. To join her in this pursuit, stay up to date in the News section and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
